We Made It

We made it to our new home, and to the hot state of Texas! Last week they had the hottest day of the year - 103! And today we hit it again! Whew!
My mom flew down with us and stayed for the first week we were here to help us unpack. She was wonderful and helped SO much! With her help, we unpacked all our boxes in 2 days. It was a complete whirlwind.
The kids are doing great. David LOVES his “new house”. And I mean LOVES it! For the first few days here, everytime we left, for the entire car ride he would ask to go back to his new house. I am pretty sure he loved the numerous empty rooms where he could run laps in. I think his favorite part is the backyard, although asks every day before going out, ” Mommy is it hot outside?, or tells me again “Mommy, it is sunny outside.” To which my response is yes, it’s only June. 
He then right away will ask for his sunglasses, which seem to make all the difference to him.
We are enjoying the church and Dave loves his new job. I had some preconceived ideas of what the church was going to be like, but my first Sunday blew me away. It was the most energetic church service I have ever been to. Numerous people got saved, it was amazing. The kids area is crazy. Right now they have a Super Hero theme going on, so there are large super heros everywhere. You can imagine how little David responded to those.
Everyone keeps asking for pictures but we have been terrible and haven’t taken any. Grammy came yesterday to help us decorate so we will be sure to take some once things start looking more homey.
Last week in DC

Just a few pics from our last week in DC (which now was almost a month ago). Oh how we miss our dear friends!
For our final week, I had a few “last events” I told Dave I needed to do, before we left. And we actually ended up doing most of them! We hit my favorite spray park with a few friends, went to the zoo, and thanks to our friends Heather and Nathan had GREAT seats at David’s first NATS game in their new stadium. We also got to meet up with our Clark cousins who met Reagan for the first time!
