Our trip up North

Posted on Tuesday, August 24th, 2010

We just came back from a nice trip up north. We flew up to Philly to see Dave’s parents. We had a great time visiting the Philly touch museum, Hershey Park and Ocean City. For the first time, David finally loved the ocean. It was so fun to watch him finally have no fear and run full steam into the water. Reagan, (who oddly enough loves bugs) loved the sand crabs, although she was not to fond of the feeling of the sand on her feet. Thanks Grammy and Poppy for having us!

One of my other favorite things about visiting Philly is I get to see all my college friends. This time we got to hang out twice…miss those girls!

Even David got to hang with the girls and eat smores!

The next part of our trip, Dave flew back home and we drove up to Syracuse to visit my family. We celebrated my grandpa’s 80th birthday, visited another touch museum, went swimming and of course had my Dad’s favorite – Gelati – which David loved. Reagan’s new favorite word is grandpa. She learned it mid-week and the rest of the week was calling him all the time, so cute! My dad flew back with us, which was such a great help! I’m not sure I could have done it by myself this time. I need to get better pictures from my parents but these are just a few from my phone.

Cousin Maddy

Posted on Friday, July 16th, 2010

The kids were so excited to have cousin Maddy, Aunt Danielle and Grandma-Di visit us July 4th week. We haven’t seen Maddy since March, so it was fun to see how much she has grown! Maddy took a serious liking to David and he in turn was super sweet with her. Reagan on the other hand was rather mean to Grandma-Di. I’m pretty sure she thought I was leaving again and Grandma had come to watch her. 2 weeks must not have been enough time to get that terrible memory out of her mind :) We got to visit our pool, (which I think Grandma Di had the most fun at, David took her down the water slides a ton! ), went to the jump place and of course tried to shop. We had a lot of fun and are SO glad that they made the long trip down!

18 months

Posted on Wednesday, July 14th, 2010

Wow I can hardly believe Reagan is already 18 months! Yikes – where did the time go? She is really progressing these days with her gross motor skills. She is walking/trying to run everywhere and can finally stand by herself from anywhere (she used to have to crawl and pull herself up so this is HUGE!). She learned last week to get on the couch by herself and its now her new favorite thing! She has gone from being so scared to now being fearless when she is at home with us. Luckily we have yet to have any major falls! Her favorite game these days is buckling things! Today at mom’s group she totally hijacked another stroller just so she could sit in it and play with the buckles. She can buckle herself in her carseat, good news is she hasn’t mastered unbuckling yet!

Happy 18 months Reagan!

Today I pulled her hair back for the first time and it wasn’t on top of her head. Doesn’t it make her look so old! :(
