One of my other favorite things about visiting Philly is I get to see all my college friends. This time we got to hang out twice…miss those girls!

The next part of our trip, Dave flew back home and we drove up to Syracuse to visit my family. We celebrated my grandpa’s 80th birthday, visited another touch museum, went swimming and of course had my Dad’s favorite – Gelati – which David loved. Reagan’s new favorite word is grandpa. She learned it mid-week and the rest of the week was calling him all the time, so cute! My dad flew back with us, which was such a great help! I’m not sure I could have done it by myself this time. I need to get better pictures from my parents but these are just a few from my phone.

Today I pulled her hair back for the first time and it wasn’t on top of her head. Doesn’t it make her look so old!

We had a great time, but dearly missed the Russell’s who were suppose to go with us! One hour was not long enough to see you guys!
Dave upgraded our room last minute, so we had a suite and it was wonderful! It’s hard to tell by this picture but we had a lot of room for a cruise, especially in the bathroom areas! We ate tons of great food, and way to much of it. Sleeping in was so lovely, and I’m pretty sure I got to nap every day! Our favorite stop was Jamaica where we hiked the Dunns River Falls, a fun experience!

David finally is potty-trained! It only took almost 3 1/2 years, but he did it in less than a week. His motivation was somewhat funny, somewhat mean of me, but it worked. He’s been saying he “wants to wear diapers and be a baby” whenever the conversation of wearing underwear comes up. But 2 weeks ago we got a paper from church saying that he was graduating in 7 weeks to the “green hallway”. You know what the green hallway means….must be potty-trained! So I decided we needed to do it then! I told him if he wanted to be baby then I would treat him like one. He would nap (since he only “rests” now) and he would eat baby food like Reagan. So lunch rolls around and I set up Reagan with cherrios and baby food. Then I set up David with cherrios and baby food. He starts crying and saying baby food is “yucky”. I explain the whole baby thing to him AGAIN and he decides to go upstairs and put on underwear right then. The rest is history! I’ve been told a million times, “when they are ready, they are ready” and so it goes with David!

My parents came to visit this past weekend. We had a great time! Reagan was really sweet on my dad and David wrestled with him almost the entire time. And like always it was a nice break for me! A few pictures dad took. The first one of Reagan, Dad took out his camera and she started smiling ear to ear for him!

Every Easter I attempt as best as I can to take the kids pictures by myself. I think every year fails, and this year was no exception. Dave was at church super early, so once again I tried myself to take them. I had to wake Reagan up, feed her super quickly and dress her. So as you can tell, she was in no mood for pictures. And one of these days I will learn to use our fancy camera properly!

And this one, just because its classic! David had just finished “hugging” her. He was actually doing it sweetly but just too hard for Reagan’s taste!

We also learned that cage free eggs (brown ones) don’t really color as good as the normal eggs. They all came out weird versions of what the colors were suppose to be.
