She’s One!

Our baby girl turned one on Wednesday. Yes last Wednesday – I am bit late in posting. We can’t believe her first year went so quickly. I am blamming it partly on the fact that we truly have only had her living in our house for 11 months. Along with the fact that I don’t think I’ll ever forget her birth and how long that first month of her life felt. We were driving home on New Years Day, and Dave and I were reminiscing on what a scary day it was just one year ago. I was sitting on the couch and all of the sudden on my way to the hospital and 5 days later she was born. I’ll never forget seeing her for the first time – and boy she sure did give us a scare! God was and has been so faithful through her development process.
She is one sweet baby! She honestly brings me joy each and every day. She still is in love with her brother and giggles at him the most. Her favorite activity is to take my hands and walk and follow him around the house laughing. She also has really started to love her daddy and now gives Dave’s the biggest smiles when he walks in the door from work. She definitely is a laid back baby, and does things when she’s nice and ready. This past week she all of the sudden started to do some fine motor skills we have been working hard on, she learned to wave, blow kisses, stick out her tongue (when you ask her where her tongue is) and also said mama (my personal favorite!). All this week!
We celebrated her birthday with Grandma and Grandpa coming down to visit. We had a great week with them and it was fun to see her really opening up to them. Happy Birthday to our little princess!
It is amazing to think that it was a whole year ago. Dave and I had a similar conversation on New Year’s Day thinking back to when mom called us and I met you at the hospital! She is such a beautiful and sweet little girl.

Happy Birthday Reagan! This year has gone by so fast — it seems like yesterday that crazy New Year’s Morning when Jenn was rushed to the hospital and we were all so concerned for her and the baby. Then six days later our little Reagan was born — so sweet from the start. We love you Reagan and pray you will continue to grow strong and healthy. XXXOOO
Great post, Jenn. God has been incredibly gracious to us all. Reagan reminds me again and again why I believe in angels! What a joy she is.
