Swimming

David started swim lessons a few weeks ago. They are once a week for 20 weeks. Yup – TWENTY! The first week let’s say was less than wonderful, but by the 2nd week he was in the pool and actually enjoying himself. There are 2 other kids in his class with one teacher. Dave and I don’t go in, we watch from the waiting room. I think us not going in with him has really helped him progress. They already learned to swim on the side, lift themselves out of the pool and jump in. If you know David, you’ll understand how impressed we were that he actually jumped in and his head went under! They also have been working on blowing bubbles and floating on their backs. Our goal is by May no more fear of the water. We hope to have a fun summer in our community pool!

Check out those cool “glasses”! – week 3
