Vacation!

Dave and I finally got to go on a vacation last week without KIDS! We decided to go on a cruise since we love them so much, and this time to the western Caribbean. It was my first time leaving Reagan. I was a little teary eyed about it when we left, but luckily calling home was SUPER expensive so I didn’t check in the whole week. A good thing for me. My mom, Aunt Debbie and cousin Lexi flew down to stay with them. David was so excited about them coming, or “awesome” as he put it, and surprisingly seemed not to care in the least that we were leaving. They seemed to have a great week, they of course got spoiled with lots of new toys, and went out to eat (which David loves to do). Reagan learned a few new words and also mastered coming down the stairs on her belly, something I’ve been working on for forever. A HUGE HUGE thank you to them for coming down and staying with the kids!
We had a great time, but dearly missed the Russell’s who were suppose to go with us! One hour was not long enough to see you guys!
Dave upgraded our room last minute, so we had a suite and it was wonderful! It’s hard to tell by this picture but we had a lot of room for a cruise, especially in the bathroom areas! We ate tons of great food, and way to much of it. Sleeping in was so lovely, and I’m pretty sure I got to nap every day! Our favorite stop was Jamaica where we hiked the Dunns River Falls, a fun experience!

Our community splash park opened the beginning of May and we have gone quite a few times already this summer! Our pools haven’t opened yet, and since the weather has been so hot, the place has been packed. Both kids are getting better and more used to it each time we go! We went again today and David was so happy to get to show Dave everything. And Reagan finally let go of my leg and walked around by herself loving it. A few quick pictures from our phone…

WALKING!!!

She finally did it! She’s been taking steps since Thanksgiving really, but hasn’t taken more than 8 or so at a time, and usually only does it when she wants to get to me. On Thursday I told Dave she was really walking more than usual that day. And then yesterday it all finally clicked and all of the sudden she took off! Plus she totally has both hands up in the air which is just adorable! Thank you Jesus for all her progress!
